Although this does not represent a serious problem, very time it happens it prejudices the activity
we are doing. Know what causes it and know how you can improve your memory.
These are some of the most common causes of temporary memory loss:
Stress: Working in excess or personal issues prevents us from focusing on what we are doing thus affecting our memory. We usually ended up focusing other things or trying to figure out how to solve another.
Drugs side effects: Some antidepressants, sleeping pills, antihistamines, relaxants and analgesics, among others, or a combination of several of them can cause temporary memory loss. Since they contain very strong active ingredients it results in memory loss.
Smoking: Since smoking considerably reduces the amount of oxygen that reaches our brain, it can prevent us from thinking clearly at times, which also affects our short-term memory.
Excessive alcohol consumption: Excessive drinking can cause damage to our memory functions. Affecting certain neuron receptors and causing blackouts, which over time could be permanent.
Drugs: Continued use of these substances brings serious damages to our central nervous system, obstructing the growth of new healthy cells, causing in turn, memory loss.
Sleep disorders: The quantity and quality that you sleep can cause memory loss. If you don’t rest well, you will feel tired, which interferes with our ability to keep and associate memories.
Poor diets: Eating disorders, unbalanced diets and not eating foods rich in vitamins B1 and B2, as well as proteins and high quality fats affect your ability to concentrate and remember.
Know these causes and remember that they are reversible, expecting memory loss due to aging. Keep these factors in mind and avoid them to be able to enjoy a good memory. Try relaxing, exercising, eating well and taking care of your hydration. Exercise your mind; avoid smoking, drugs and excessive alcohol consumption. Rest at least 8 hours a day and if your memory loss persists, talk to your doctor and ask for an evaluation. It is possible you will need to change a medication you are taking.
