Each country or region of the world is characterized by something in particular, whether their culture, beliefs, physical features and of course today’s protagonist; their typical food; which is their presentation letter. Today we become professional diners, and we will give a tour of each country and know their exquisite cuisine. Enjoy it!
Latin American countries are recognized by their eccentricity and the good flavors of their dishes, being considered by tourists their favorite countries to be visited. Here are some of them. Venezuela has a wide range of dishes to taste, such as the famous Hallacas that can only be made when the holiday season approaches and is one of the signature dishes of the country. You can also find the delightful pavellón, a dish consisting of white rice, black beans, fried plantains and delicious shredded meat; by excellence it is considered to be the traditional dish of this country. Now we approach the beautiful Colombia, this country will also offer excellent dishes to enjoy, as in the case of their famous “ajiaco” a delicious soup made with three different types of Colombian potatoes and it contains shredded chicken, corn, and rice. The most recommended is the “ajiaco santafereño” found in Bogota. Moreover, the “posta negra” can also be seen as a signature dish of Cartagena, it consists of thinly sliced beef which is marinated with onions and accompanied by vinegar, garlic, herbs and rice.
We continue our journey and arrived in Uruguay, its traditional dish is the “milanesa napolitana”, and this is a breaded beef, which is cooked in the oven before being the covered of a pizza with mozzarella cheese, tomato sauce, onion, ham, among others. This rich dish will leave you wanting more. Now, we will move to North America into Mexico, this country doesn’t only make an impact for its rich enchiladas and delicious tacos jalapenos, but also for its varied menu, without taking the prominence of the tacos, here you will find other delicious dishes as the “mole poblano“, that is a rich sauce with a variety of ingredients poured over guajolote pieces, in Mexico this is the name given to the Turkey, and it is considered one of the traditional dishes of Puebla.
In Bolivia we will enjoy the famous “Silpancho”, this rich dish consists of rice, a circular slice of beef and a piece of processed bread that covers most of the dish, boiled potatoes, and one or two eggs with an onion and tomato salad chopped into small cubes on top of the plate. There is no doubt you will be more than satisfied! Finally, we leave our culinary journey with the famous island of Puerto Rico, whose signature dish is a rich chicken stew with various types of ingredients accompanied by rice and beans.
