The existence of the electromagnetic field of the human heart is a reality, although many people find it strange since for a long time it has been thought that this organ is a simple bomb; but today it has been scientifically proven that this is a very complex system which has its own brain; as you are reading, and also some studies of neuro cardiology have shown that it is a sensory organ able to receive, process and send information in a very efficient and sophisticated way.
That is why this nervous system located in our heart has been called the brain of the heart that gives it the independent capacity of the cerebral cortex to receive, learn, remember and even make decisions of a functional type that can be transmitted to the brain itself and they can influence the functions related to perceptual processes, knowledge and above all, emotions which it constantly sends to the brain.
But this transmission process is not only carried out through the wide network of nerve endings that connect the brain with the whole organism, but also through electromagnetic fields that allow the human heart to generate an extensive and powerful rhythmic field which, compared to the one produced by the brain, is approximately 60 times larger in amplitude, which allows it to reach every cell in the body.
Also, the magnetic component of the human heart is approximately 5000 times stronger than that of the brain, and wonderfully it can be detected through sensitive magnetometers that are placed several meters away from the body because this organ has the ability to continuously generate a series of electromagnetic pulsations, which in a complex and very dynamic way vary their time intervals between each beat.
This electromagnetic field of the human heart acts as a wave that contains information which generates a general signal that synchronizes with the whole organism through a flow of energy that radiates from our heart in order to interact with the other organs and structures.
That is how the rhythmic field exerts a powerful influence in the functional processes that occur throughout the body, acting as an information network through a vital connection of the rates of the brain with the rate activity of the heart, which explains how the feelings of love, pressure and the rhythm of breathing combine with the heart rate.
All this has led to studies, such as those of the Heart Math Institute through which it has been proven that information related to emotional states is communicated through the electromagnetic field of the heart since it has been observed that the rate patterns of human heartbeats vary while different emotions take place.
Negative emotions, such as anger or frustration, are associated with an erratic, messy and incoherent heart rate pattern. In contrast, positive emotions such as love or gratitude are associated with a smooth, orderly and consistent pattern in heart rate activity. In turn, these changes in the heart rate pattern create the corresponding changes in the structure of the electromagnetic field irradiated by the heart, which can be measured by a technique called spectral analysis.
Therefore, it has been shown that constant positive emotions make everything work in a different way, a phenomenon which is called “Psychophysiological coherence”, when the heart rate has a wave pattern almost sinusoid, while the electromagnetic field of the human heart is more organized, which is manifested at the physiological level with an increase in efficiency and harmony between the systems that make up the body.
From the psychological point of view, psychophysiological coherence is associated with a significant reduction in internal mental dialogue, which affects the reduction of stress levels and the increase of emotional balance, favouring mind clarity, cognitive ability and intuition.
Likewise, within the human communication system, not only elements such as voice, language, facial gestures and body movements come into play, but the electromagnetic system or “energetic” communication system also comes into action consciously since the attraction or magnetic repulsion are influenced by the energy interactions between people, which obviously has an impact on interaction and social communication.
In this sense, it has been ensured that the electromagnetic field of the human heart plays a basic role in the process of transmission of physiological, psychological, emotional and social information between individuals. This has been proven by studies of the Heart Math Institute, where it has been shown that this field can transmit information to people, even in experiments where the exchange of cardiac energy between individuals separated by up to a meter and a half distance has been measured.
We have also found that the brain waves of one person can synchronize with the heart of another, so it is believed that individuals who have a higher level of psychophysiological coherence are more aware of the information emanating from other people’s fields, a process in which the nervous system fulfils the function of an antenna which receives signals from other electromagnetic fields that arise from other people’s hearts, which favours intuition when a coupling is activated with an energy field of information that exceeds the limits of time and space.
It also happens that the heart and the brain can be receptors and transmitters of information about things that will happen before they happen; it is even believed that the human heart receives such information before the brain, a phenomenon that suggests the existence of a potential energy within space and time, which is part of our awareness and understanding of what is called “the whole.”
