Yes, what you just read, it just so happens that the recent Consumer Electronics Show in Las Vegas was the perfect scenery to present a series of gizmos or gadgets that, through technology, are able to offer multiple benefits, in this case related to the food we consume.
The current trend known as “The Internet of Things”, emerges precisely because more and more technological tools are created with a great impact on the way humans cohabit with the planet and just like technology itself, it opens up a series of possibilities that invite us to be and live better.
Plus, technology has unearthed human potential that was hitherto unknown to our eyes and others’. Thus, today we will get to know these devices that can contribute to a healthier, more practical and, why not, tastier eating habit.
The first of these novelty gadgets is a diet sensor, created by a French based company along with an Israeli one. It’s called “Diet Sensor” and works with an infrared light that, when passed over any foodstuff it acts as a scanner, sending all the nutritional information directly to your smartphone. If you are one of those people who absolutely has to abide by a specific diet to lose weight or, due to health concerns should avoid meals high on sugar or fats; this device, weighing only 35 grams, is ideal for you.
Another gadget will be a dream for those who love enjoying cocktails. It’s a device similar to an instant coffeemaker with refillable containers inside; in which you can pour different drinks, nectars and flavor bases; necessary to prepare over 300 delicious cocktails.
The American development team explained that after this, all you have to do is ‘request’ through an app downloaded on your phone; and in five seconds you’ll have your drink. The creators, an American company, announced that it’ll be out on the market later this year, even though one is already in operation at Sonoma Bar, in California.
Furthermore, there are similar appliances for tea lovers in their different densities and flavors; just like the “Robot Teforia”, created by Alan Han, which prepares delicious tea to the client’s taste through an app on your smartphone connected to the “Robot” through Wi-Fi while a set of gauges’ measure calories. It’s all on our reach, the decision is yours to take; in any case, Enjoy your meal!
