Thursday, December 31st 2015. Hearing Vision? Strange term, isn’t it? Through some innovative smart lenses, blind people will see through a simple language of sounds. Would you like to know what this super technological advance? Keep on reading.

A company located in the province of Castellon, Spain has invented a fabulous solution for those people who for various reasons have lost vision. It’s about lenses that allow them to see them through sounds, using a deceptively simple technology and with only three elements.

Its creators explain that the process is established by a language of easily understood and comprehension by users, simple but certainly, it opens a large range of possibilities to join many activities of daily life; also facilitating their interaction with other people and environment.

The original name of these lenses is “Eyesynth” and is composed of three elements or compounds for accessories: lenses, a cochlear implant and a microprocessor. When you put them, you can perceive the space around you in three different dimensions, as if it was used a cane; using the tracking, but not only the objects located in front, but offers expanded what is on your right, to your left or back, without moving the head perception.

This is possible through the use of cochlear implant, a novel device designed as a type transducer and acoustic signal converter; that’s to say the sounds into electrical signals that activate the auditory nerve. This implant can be placed inside or outside the brain.

On the other hand, the microprocessor is responsible for receiving the information captured by the implant; turning it into the language sounds perceptible by the user easily. Namely; the microcomputer receives real-time image recording and processes in language and not verbal, abstract; but understandable after a simple learning and review.

Another novel aspect of this device is that it avoids the uncomfortable hassle in the ear, especially by unhygienic apparatus; as with most available on the market to counter hearing. The innovative group of Castellon, created a system of pads that projecting sound waves through the skull bones.

The ingenious device is not yet for sale, because for several months will remain in the testing phase at the end of correcting any damage or failure. However, it is expected to hit the market from the first quarter of next year; definitely a miracle that allows blind support in another sense, the hearing, to “see with your ears”.

The manufacturer of the same name of the product, “Eyesynth” published on the portal “YouTube” an interesting video showing in detail the operation of this fabulous product. Here you have. Enjoy!
