Katharina received the tiara from her husband, Guido Henckel von Donnersmarck; member of a German family, certainly the second richest in the whole country by the end of the nineteenth century. It was in 1979, when the family decided to sell such a valuable jewel; learn the secrets of this tiara:

-Six people participated in the auction for this great garment, which was not carried out for more than 30years; but only one person got her, the happy one was apparently an anonymous buyer from America, who paid no more and no less than 12.7 million dollars.

-The Famous auction was conducted by Sotheby’s at a special event called “Magnificent & Noble Jewels” in Geneva.

-The Initial amount of the tiara, was around 4.6 million and 9.2 million dollars.
