Palmarosa essential oil is used to treat various skin conditions as it has ideal regenerative and moisturizing properties to improve fine lines and regenerate small cuts. It is used in cosmetics thanks to its sweet perfume, floral and fresh aroma, similar to roses’, and it is often added to skin creams and natural soaps.

Aromatherapy uses the Palmarosa essential oil to condition the skin and to make massages and produce a soothing effect on the person, besides its floral aroma allows to create a perfumed environment conducive to eliminate stress.

It is also used for therapeutic purposes to treat colds, acne, the flu, fatigue, fever, fungal infections, nervousness and stress, also for skin conditions such as acne, eczema, scars, wounds and cuts, because its regenerative properties is effective. For colds and the flu, 2 to 3 drops are used in a diffuser in the area where the patient is.

For skin conditions, 2 or 3 drops of Palmarosa essential oil are mixed in one ounce of carrier oil, such as almond, jojoba, olive or coconut, and applied to the affected area with a cotton ball. To moisturize dry skin, add 2 or 3 drops to a carrier oil and apply gently on the skin, helping to reduce dryness and providing softness and a pleasant aroma.

For its antibacterial and antiseptic properties they are an excellent alternative to eliminate bacteria from the body. Mainly for skin diseases such as acne, since it regulates the amount of fat that acne causes, in addition to having a calming effect, eliminating the itching produced by the condition. It can be applied directly on the affected areas or diluted in neutral oils for large areas.

In alternative therapies, such as aromatherapy, it is used in diffusers or through massages for cases of fatigue, decay and stress, elevating the state of mind. While for other conditions a few drops mixed with a neutral oil are used directly on the affected areas.

It is also particularly effective to remove excess fat of hair. You should only add one or two drops of Palmarosa essential oil in a small amount of your usual shampoo and you will notice the difference, as it avoids the overproduction of fat in the hair root, restoring its PH and providing flexibility to hair, as well as eliminating dandruff. It will also clean your scalp and leave a very pleasant scent of roses.

It has also proven its action as a natural deodorant, with an efficiency of 24 hours and a pleasant aroma, since it has the ability to neutralize odors by inhibiting the action of bacteria
