One of the most IN fashions in the world today is to do many things naked. What for many could be difficult because of embarrassment and modesty, for others can represent a challenge that will make them feel free or break the taboos that society has always imposed on those who claim to be nudists.
Nudism is a very old type of practice that has generally created strong controversies between those who practice it and those who do not, since they have always wanted to relate it to pornography and sexuality, things that are completely separated from what really it means.
The term nudism or naturalism, as it is also known, is defined according to Google dictionary, as a “moral and hygienic practice that is based on completely dispensing with clothing and showing the naked body”, usually in public. This term was created in the 1900s, and arose as a reaction to the fact of industrialization of countries and the accelerated building of these, as they were given the task of removing trees, natural areas that made people claim those spaces, encouraging the return to the natural thing.
In this sense, nudist beaches were created to please and attend to the very particular need of some people, who claimed to bathe naked and who needed to do it freely, without any inconvenience, which would have a legal impact. However, the importance of nudism has been so much, that entrepreneurs have already had the initiative to create restaurants for nudists. Yes, as you read it.
Such is the case of the first nudist restaurant, located in London and baptized with the name of The Bunyadi, which means natural. It is a restaurant that only opens from June to September, where you will have to put aside complexes, grief, modesty, embarrassment, and feel as relaxed as possible, since nobody will be watching you, so dedicate yourself to taste the delicious menu and ¡Bon appétit!
The restaurant has sections that separate diners; nudists and those who want to be dressed, so they will never mix with each other, unless those who are dressed decide to hang up their attire and dare to cross the line that divides them.
It should be noted that when The Bunyadi was opened, it already had a waiting list of 5,000 people wishing to know it, because of the originality of its concept. This restaurant offers a menu for vegetarians and another for those who want meat, using organic foods, which are cooked in wood. The plates and glasses are made of sustainable materials, and although you may not believe it, you can eat your own cutlery, all with the purpose of preserving the environment. The cost of the menu ranges between 80 and 95 euros.
In addition to being a nudist restaurant, its objective is to move its guests to a true space of freedom, in which there is no electricity but candles, to create a more welcoming environment, mobile and electronic equipment are forbidden to use inside the restaurant, this in order that people “experience true liberation”, as expressed by its creator Seb Lyall.
Also, the rules of hygiene and etiquette established by the American Nudist Recreation Association will apply in the place, which indicate that the waiters will wear gloves and they will have to cover their private parts and the cooks will wear their respective uniforms, they will not do it naked, so do not worry about that. Similarly, once at the tables, people should place a towel to sit.
What are you waiting to visit one of these restaurants with nudist tendencies, whether in Paris, Melbourne, Tokyo or London? Take away everything that prevents you from being free and dare.
