Kuala Lumpur is definitely a destination to explore. Its name in Malay means muddy influence since it is located at the confluence of the Gombak and Klang rivers. Founded in 1857, it was not until 1972 that it obtained the status of a city, and despite its late name, it is a city whose development is at a very advanced pace, which is why it is one of the fastest growing capitals in the world.

Among the mosques recommended to visit, is the National Mosque of Malaysia or Masjid Negara, which represents the most important spiritual center of the capital and whose appropriate clothing is given at the entrance, for free. You can also visit the Masjid Jamek Mosque, Merdaka Square and the Sultan Abdul Samad building, one of the most impressive in this city.

Then, you should visit the famous twin towers, known as the Petronas Towers, which represent the national symbol of Kuala Lumpur for being the highest in the world between 1998 and 2003. With 452 meters of height and 360 degrees of vision in each tower, you can admire each of the skyscrapers and beautiful architectural works of this capital. However, for a real show, it is best to visit them in the evening, so you can enjoy the lights of each one.

Another fun excursion that you will enjoy to the fullest is the Batu Caves, where you will find one of the most important Hindu temples in Malaysia, where worship is done through offerings to the gods.

Finally, if you want to eat delicious food in a restaurant, you cannot miss Chinatown.
