This rule applies to earrings, necklaces, bracelets, pins or any other family jewel that has been inherited and intended to be worn on the day of the ceremony.
  • The wedding ring, for being the central jewel of the ceremony is full of hundreds of myths and superstitions, among those that it cannot be bought on Friday, since it is a day with lots of temptations. It is also considered unlucky for the couple to wear the wedding rings before the ceremony, for that reason it is necessary to wait until they are blessed during the wedding to be able to wear them.

  • The opal, being a precious stone highly valued in ancient Rome; since 1829 it is considered unlucky to wear it by the bride on the day of the ceremony, since it is considered that those who wear this gem on their wedding day will live a life of misfortune and hardship in their marriage.
