The Sequoia National Park is located in Sierra Nevada, California. This beautiful place has an area of 1365 square kilometers and its principal attraction is the gigantic trees named sequoias. Giant sequoias grow to an average height of 164–279 ft. and 20–26 ft. in diameter.
Giant sequoias have existed from more than 3200 years and plenty of them have gone beyond 328 ft. height, 32.8 ft. in diameter in the trunk and 114 ft. in diameter in the roots. In Sequoia National Park is the highest tree in the world, known as “General Sherman”, because its excessive height and magnificence has called lots of attention.
Inside the park you can admire the Whitney mount, that it is the biggest summit of the United States of America without Alaska. It has 14504,59 ft. height. You can also appreciate the Crystal cave, an underground cavern of marble, whose alignment went beyond the sea level and as a result they were created formations in the air cavities, and then they set under the water.
Another wonderful place in Sequoia National Park is the Canyon of River Kern. It is a stunning mountain, when the only river that rises in Sierra Nevada goes through it.
