Summer in Iceland happens between June and August. In June and July, you can see the sun in the horizon 24 hours a day, and because you feel that your days and nights are longer, you stay awake longer. The capital city of Iceland is Reykjavik. It doesn’t have huge buildings, but it is very attractive. It has very colorful houses, museums and small galleries. Scuba diving and snorkeling lovers can go to the Sifra rift, the only place on Earth where it is possible to swim between two tectonic plates. The waters are considered the clearest in the world, with a 220 feet deep visibility. The most famous waterfalls are Dettifoss and Seljalandsfoss, the valley of Haukadalur is known as the valley of geysers, and hot water springs at regular intervals from the center of the Earth.
