Friday, December 04th 2015. Since the trailer of what is coming was revealed for the fifth season of Girls, one of the most controversial American series of recent times and exclusive broadcast on HBO. The series is the product of the mind of Lena Dunham, the writer and lead actress of the project. Girls argument is based on four single women living in New York, specifically Williamsburg, the girls are in the crisis of the 20 without knowing what to do with their lives; defining the modern woman.
These four girls are Hannah Horvath, a writer of 26 who has a stormy romance with an aspiring actor; Jessa Johansson, a bohemian, the free soul of the group that tends to disappear and make decisions without thinking; Shoshana Shapiro, cousin of Jessa is a university student who experiences a sexual awakening; and Marnie Michaels, the most demanding of all, looking plan fully her future.
As four girls in New York, they’re compared with Sex and the City; by the argument and anecdotes, but still this is much harsher. The creative end or television proposal of Lena Dunham, is to show fiction beyond an objective life, facts, common occurrences for any woman. Lena describes Girls as many of the experiences that has lived in the past, adapted to modern television.
The writer and actress presents a world of drugs, alcohol, nudity and sex in addition to the need to show her actual television; so the common life and instability in all possible forms are made daily. Also, Dunham has no problems about her body image. She is an actress who fully shows her naked body in the chapters and she’s not caring at all the criticism about her weight.

The dialogues are great, and the characters show their absolute human nature. They can go from being empathetic collaborators and demonstrate the most terrible selfishness and evil, they’re simply human beings who react according to the situations presented to them.
The cast also have the permanent participation of three male characters such as Adam, the eternal boyfriend engagement and disengagement of Hannah; Elijah, the former boyfriend of Hannah, declared homosexual; and Ray, friend of the whole group and romantic interest of Shoshana. These show the masculine side of a series which has woman’s name.
The series premiered in 2012 with ten chapters showing gradually the character of each role. For its second season became a success, renewed for two more seasons, in fact, last year confirmed the fifth will be released on Sunday, February 21st of the following year; so there is very little to know what happened to Hannah and irreverent group of girls.
