Thursday, December 10th, 2015. Selena Gomez, the young full time actress and singer; has experienced what is now known as a radical change or a 180 degrees’ twist. It can tell by her self-confidence, the material from her new album, and the “look” that she has adopted. Selena is another person!
The 23 years old has been the center of all the tabloids about her way of living her life. After her highly publicized relationship with Justin Bieber, the artist seems to move on and look for a different future. According to reports that have been brewing for a few days, the girl has been seen very friendly and even kissing with the blonde singer of the boy band One Direction Niall Horan.
From this affair we are gradually learning more, adding a number of images which are being filtered as days pass and this doesn’t seem to bother Selena.
This change from girl to sexy singer she has been brewing since 2012, when she participated in the film “Spring Breakers”; which plot is based on a group of teenage girls who get into trouble because they want to enjoy the holidays forever. This meant for Gomez the distance from her image of good girl which she held since her participation in the Disney series “Wizards of Waverly Place” or movies like Princess Protection Program and Monte Carlo in 2012.
Also, Selena’s discography gives us a clue about how her change has occurred; because with five studio albums in her possession, Selena has been reinventing herself. In 2009, she presented her musical debut with “Kiss & Tell”; a material that she released when she worked for Disney, giving her a small position in the world of music. For 2010, came “A Year Without Rain”; an album that the singer says was very quick. Already in 2011, she decided to take her career more seriously and comes to light “When the sun goes down”, finding a safer place in the industry for her.
In 2013 everything changed when she released her album “Star Dance”, where “Come & Get It” comes from; it was Gomez’s first song to reach the top of the major music charts in the United States, positioning her as a musical diva.
