Dubai is one Emirates belonging to the United Arab Emirates, located on the Persian Gulf coast. It has a population of over 2 million people, and their government is monarchist, led by the Al Maktoum dynasty. Their economy is based on the oil industry, and to that owes their prosperity; due to the rapid growth of their infrastructure, and the construction of large real estate developments, has become another of their economic activities, together with the international trade through the export of goods. India, Saudi Arabia and Switzerland make Dubai a world super power.
Likewise, tourism is another of their main economic activities, and also one of the biggest attractions, because attracts millions of tourists each year, making it one of the most visited sites worldwide. Their tourism is based on luxury and ostentatious attractions each destination is full of spectacular beauty and splendor.
Among the most striking tourist activities in Dubai, are their wonderful buildings, as the Burj Khalifa, the tallest building in the world, 828 meters high and 163 floors; this skyscraper provides a 360 degree view of the majestic city of Dubai; also in this city is one of the most emblematic and iconic hotels the Burj Al Arab the world’s most luxurious hotel, the only one with 7 stars.
Similarly, a must-see destination is the Dubai Aquarium; the largest aquarium in the world, with more than 30,000 marine species, including 300 sharks, and has a tunnel that allows a breathtaking 270º view of the Aquarium.
Similarly, there is the impressive artificial island the Palm Jumeirah which along with two others forms The Palm Islands which are icons of this emirate. The best way to appreciate them is by helicopter or seaplane ride.
In addition to its spectacular buildings, Dubai offers interesting tourist activities such as cruises from Dubai Creek and Dubai Marina, and ice-skating in the world’s largest Indoor station that has snow all year. Also, do not stop shopping in Dubai and visit Battuta Mall, which is like visiting China, Egypt and Tunisia, in one place and with several thematic areas.
