Out of the 24 hours of a day, eight are dedicated to work, the same amount of time to leisure, and the remaining time to rest and sleep. However, among the many hours of our day, we hardly ever dedicate some time to care for the biggest organ of our body, the skin, especially for a deep cleansing facial.

With an extension of approximately two square meters, our skin varies in thickness between the 0.5 millimeters in our eyelids and four millimeters in the heel. With a weight close to five kilograms, the well-known integumentary system serves as a protective barrier that isolates the organism from the outside and at the same time acts as a method of communication between the remaining organs.

Biologically, our body has three main layers: the epidermis, dermis and hypodermis. The first is the one that shows the effects of external aggression, because it is the most superficial layer. The skin can suffer diseases, called dermatitis, that must to be treated by a dermatologist.

For this reason, a deep cleansing facial is of vital importance, not only to avoid an unplanned visit to the doctor, but for a beautiful face. Usually there is a myth that says skin cleansing is difficult and expensive.

There is nothing further from the reality than this statement. When you have the necessary knowledge to treat your skin with kindness, you will get into the habit of doing it and it will become a moment of relaxation. If you have the possibility to do it with natural products, much better.

A deep cleansing facial should begin with dilating the pores. Many people forget this fundamental step that allows their skin to be prepared to deeply absorb the treatment that is going to be carried out, without harming it.

The simplest way to do it is by boiling water, adding some herbs, such as lavender or even tea, and then, covering your head and the container with a towel to let the steam emanate. That will slowly open your pores. Do it for five minutes, but be careful not to get burned. You must be 45 degrees away from the recipient.

Once the first step is completed, exfoliation is essential to remove dirt and dead skin cells. In the market, there are many natural exfoliants, such as sugar, which will give you optimum results. Remember to apply it on clean skin and perform circular movements with light pressure to avoid hurting your skin.

Then, apply a natural mask according to the need of your skin for about 20 minutes. Remove it with plenty of warm water and then repeat the last process but this time with cold water to close the pores. Cleansing the skin should be an act of love, so do it with care.
