The second largest city in Cyprus is Limassol. It was built between Amatunte and Curio, two ancient cities of the Byzantine Empire, so the city was known as “New City”. This territory is full of history that you cannot miss, such as knowing the ancient fortification called Castillo Kolossi; This monument was used in the Middle Ages to house facilities for the production of sugar.
Another important monument to know is the Kabir Mosque, a work of Islamic architecture.
