Wednesday, December 16th 2015. Nowadays the apps you can download directly onto your Smartphone make our lives much easier. Can you imagine an app that would tell you “Hey this should be your last drink!”? Well, it exists! And we’re gonna tell you all about it.
In this time of frequent and continuous holiday celebration, it’s rather significant when someone offers you a drink, more than you think since it’s nice when you drink in moderation and with responsibility, enjoying with your friends, family or loved ones.
But there is not one person on this Earth whose drinks never went to their head, got distracted and started having such a good time they didn’t notice the moment alcohol started wreaking havoc in your body. Awkward right? As much for you as it is for those around you.
.
Well now with the new app called ‘Wise Drinking’ that you can download directly onto your Smartphone, you can control the amount of drinks you consume in order to stay sober and alert; without depriving yourself from enjoying parties and holiday celebrations.
‘Wise Drinking’ establishes well defined parameters with the goal of measuring the alcohol levels the user has consumed, according to gender, weight, food ingested, time exposed to alcohol consumption and even the type of drink being consumed; since all of this will affect the outcome of the analysis.
The app, after having entered the pertinent information, also guides the user on the topics of alcohol consumption limits, depending on the user’s geographical position at the moment; subject to the particular standing legislations. Want to know something else? It will even counsel you about who to resort to in case the app fails to control your alcohol intake and you find yourself “too tipsy”; services from taxi fares or ambulances in worst scenario situations.
This app also keeps a statistic record about how your consumption could fluctuate, shedding some results quite close to reality. However, the app’s developers have stated that these results could be altered according to external and rather specific aspects such as the user’s age, hormonal changes, fatigue levels and even your emotional condition at the time. Let’s get to know the app better in this video:
The app’s developers represent the ‘Pernord Ricard’ company which developed the app with recreational purposes, meaning, promoting a casual learning and even fun experience that encourages responsible liquor consumption.
However, it’s always best to just trust your own sense of responsibility. Stay on your toes, avoid excessively consumption of alcohol, take care of your health and your safety along with your family’s. Don’t stop enjoying the holiday season though! It’s the best time for sharing with your family and friends.
