Our planet gives us wonderful postcards to remember when we have a mood drop. If we just close our eyes, we can move to unsuspected places inside and outside our borders. If you ever have the chance to visit the island of Capri, in the Italian Mediterranean, do it. The simple fact of remembering the moments you spent there will put a smile of unique satisfaction on your face.
Located in the Tyrrhenian Sea, in the Gulf of Naples in front of the Sorrentina peninsula, this small extension of land has been a favorite holiday destination for Italians and celebrities from all over the world since the time of the old Roman Empire.
After leaving by ferry from the port of Naples, a trip that does not exceed 60 minutes, you can enjoy an unimaginable beauty with people that are used to welcoming tourists and will make you feel at home.
Considered a paradise on earth, Capri offers its tourists fun, tranquility, great cuisine and good weather during summer, so you can swim in its petroleum blue waters. The color of the water is so deep that you will hardly see your hands under water.
A boat tour with the local fishermen will take you to the so-called “Blue Grotto”, a deformation in the rock that allows the boats to pass through a small crack when the tide is low. The outside light in contact with the water will make it an unforgettable scenery you cannot miss.
From different landscapes, this amazing place has beaches that can only be accessed by the sea. If you wish to visit it, we recommend that you first climb to the top of Monte Solaro and Cetrella at 589 meters above sea level, on a single cable car with a single chair and without a roof (chairlift) that will make your journey from Piazza Vittori to the top a happy moment where you can take photos of the green oasis where all the flora species of the island grow.
From the top, you will enjoy beautiful cliffs, hills and the diversity of blues of the Mediterranean Sea, something you will never forget. At the top of Monte Solaro and Cetrella, a small outdoor cafe will be the most appropriate place to taste a cappuccino with cream in a tall glass.
A deafening silence will be the perfect companion for your anguish and sorrow to be carried away by the warm and relaxing breeze. The cable car is active during all days of the year as long as there is sunlight. The only eventuality that could happen is a little drizzle during the journey of about 20 minutes.
If you like hiking, this tour can be done on foot but you will have to be in shape and take plenty of mineral water along, because in summer, the heat can be terrible.
Capri has natural rock formations called The Faraglioni, which rise from the water and makes this small island quite unique. And we are sure that these memories will be in your mind for the rest of your life.
