Wednesday, January 6, 2016. American actor Bradley Cooper, turned 41 years old last January 5. He is an artist who with his heartthrob presence in Hollywood, has established itself as a serious actor. The six roles that define him will be exposed: He started in showbiz with small parts, in which his physical attractiveness certainly made an appearance; still, his progress was slow, but this actor didn´t turn down his initial roles.
The first memory that we have of this actor with deep blue eyes, was his participation in the HBO series “Sex and the City” where he meets Carrie Bradshaw in a night club as he represents the real “lumps” that women ran into through their life. He then starred with Matthew McConaughey in the 2006 film Failure to launch, in which he plays a free spirited slacker and the best friend of the lead role. He is an adventurous wanderer who finally meets his soul mate.
The 2011 film “Limitless”, gave Cooper a different tone as an actor. The plot of this production revolves around a writer who takes a strange pill, stimulating 100% of his brain activity. The great quality of the pill brings problems with mafias and includes a couple of deaths. This film is one of the actor´s fans favorite and allowed the filming of a series, in which Cooper took responsibility for producer and in which his role´s participation becomes more active; as in previous chapters he merely had guest appearances.
The trilogy The Hangover, the series of films that ended up raising Cooper to fame; where he gave life to Phil Wenneck, a school teacher and father of a baby. He sets out to Vegas with four friends, to suffer the consequences of not knowing what had happened the day before. A comedy that involves weddings, tattoos, monkeys and an Asian gangster.
His first nomination to the academy award came with the film Silver Linings, in which he plays a man who suffers from bipolar disorder and seeks to redeem his mistakes. He lost the Oscar, but gained worldwide recognition. His co-star, Jennifer Lawrence, was awarded the prize for best actress. Both became one of the couples with more chemistry on the big screen.
American Sniper (2014), earned him another bunch of award nominations of global significance; this is the true story of a soldier who goes to war in Iraq. The film tells the story of the life of a sniper and how the character’s mind slowly fades as everything deteriorates around him. The film was hailed by critics.
Today, the actor has failed to win the Academy Award; but this does not seem to bother him, he values family and the simple things in life. Cooper keeps growing as an actor! Happy Birthday!
