Among many existing disciplines, rugby is postulated as a beneficial sport for women, men and even children, that is, for everyone. Representing a team sports, with important contact, rugby allows through its practice to learn certain human values that are fundamental to the harmonious coexistence of a couple, a family and the whole society.
Considered a variation of football, rugby originated in England in the nineteenth century. Currently it is practiced worldwide, countries such as Australia, New Zealand, Argentina, and France have their own leagues dedicated to this sport, having different degrees of popularity in each nation.
Rooted by English or French influences, each country has their history. In South America it is highlighted the performance of the Argentinian team. They have achieved numerous victories in world competitions, including in the Rugby Championship.
Defined as strength against skill, rugby is considered a clean game, according to an old English proverb that says: “soccer is a gentleman’s game played by villains and rugby is a game of villains played by gentlemen”. In addition to improving physical appearance, rugby predisposes the development of the best skills that a human being can have, which is, their moral principles.
Respect for common rules. With rugby it is possible to see the character that is encouraged both in each player as in the dynamics of the audience in each dispute.
Whatever the decision of the referee is, the players abide without any argument, since at the end of the game it is common to have a third time. Expanded to strengthen sociability, after finishing it, there is a tradition that both players and referees, coaches, and even the audience, will meet to discuss the variables of the ended game, leaving in the field any trace of rivalry.
Another incredible benefit that can be found in rugby is the way the person learns to transform their weaknesses into strength. Rugby is the ideal team work. Everybody is one, in one person you can see everybody. With rugby each player has the motivation of their peers, not to lose sight of the objective of reaching each goal that is proposed, an ability that is easily transferred to other areas of their life outside the field.
Equality. Incredible as it may seem, rugby enables the thought that all people are blessed with skills, which at some point will represent an unimaginable potential, provided when analyzing the best strategies together in order to improve them.
In this lies another social benefit that only rugby allows to adapt to the same lifestyle. Victory is achieved among all. There are no celebrities, no individualism. As each move is thought together, as each player takes into account the collective responsibility of each strategy, each point achieved is only a consequence of the balanced team effort.
