Effective home remedies to eliminate bad breath

Apple vinegar

Apple cider vinegar has antibacterial properties that greatly help reduce halitosis and restores the pH balance in the mouth.

You will need 1-2 tablespoons of apple cider vinegar and a glass of cold water. Prepare a solution with these two ingredients. Use it as a mouthwash. Gargle for 3-5 minutes. Rinse your mouth under running water. Do this in the morning and also before bed.

Activated charcoal

Activated charcoal absorbs impurities in the mouth and kills harmful bacteria. It is also good for teeth whitening.

You will need 1/2 teaspoon of activated charcoal and a toothbrush. Brush your teeth with activated charcoal. Rinse your mouth well to remove all the charcoal. Do this 2-3 times a week until bad breath problem is cured.

Coconut oil

You will need 1 teaspoon of lemon juice and 1-2 tablespoons of plain yogurt. Mix the two ingredients and apply the mixture on your teeth. Leave it on for 5-7 minutes and then rinse your mouth. Use this remedy when necessary.

Baking soda and lemon juice

Baking soda balances the pH levels in the mouth and reduces acidity, as it is a natural antacid. Along with the antibacterial properties of lemon juice, this remedy makes it a potent combination for eliminating bad breath.

You will need 1 teaspoon of baking soda and 1/2 teaspoon of lemon juice. Mix the ingredients to get a thick paste. Gently rub this paste on your teeth. Let it work for a minute and then rinse your mouth with clean water. Repeat this once a week.

Don’t use this remedy too often, as overuse of baking soda can damage tooth enamel.

Salt water

Cinnamon

Cinnamon and honey have antimicrobial properties that will disinfect and clean your mouth. Lemon also contains acids that have a bactericidal effect on the oral flora while balancing the pH in the mouth.

You will need 1/2 tablespoon of ground cinnamon, 1-2 tablespoons of honey, 2 lemons, and a cup of hot water. Pour the fresh squeezed juice from the lemons into an airtight container and add the ground cinnamon and honey to this. Pour the hot water over this, put the lid on and shake well to mix all the ingredients.

Use 1-2 tablespoons of this mixture to rinse your mouth after brushing your teeth. Rinse your mouth under running water. You can store the remaining cinnamon mouthwash in the airtight container for future use. Repeat this, every day for a few days.
