Wednesday, January 6, 2016. In the Asian country Taiwan, a new mobile application has been created to analyze sperm, taking a step forward towards the creations of mobile devices with medicinal purposes; turning technology into an increasingly strong ally for humanity.
“ISperm” is the name that has been given to this wonderful digital piece; and will be devoted to evaluating the quality of sperm in a very short amount of minutes, in precisely 120 seconds you can obtain, with great certainty, the result of its effectiveness and potency. This way, couples who are looking to have a child, will be able to do this from the privacy of their home through this reliable digital pocket lab.
The procedure for the analysis of sperm is very simple; just place the sample in a container that will be connected with a special lens installed on the camera; through which said sample is captured on a video for seven seconds. Then it is analyzed for ten seconds, to easily determine the exact amount of sperm and the percentage of cell motility.
The most impressive aspect of the “iSperm” application, is that it provides an extended efficiency throughout the animal world, without being restricted to the analysis of human sperm; giving unique possibilities to the world of biology.
The extensive use of “iSperm” is revolutionary because it can be used for various purposes; such as in the livestock market where one is in constant pursuit of the best sperm, improving genetics and performance of all cattle in the world.
The creator of this innovative application, is a Taiwanese company called “Aidimics”, and it´s only available for “Ipad” devices; being bad news, as it limitis its accessibility. It will be released very soon in the Western market, with a price ranging between 100 and 200 dollars.
For now, we will have to wait for the digital universalization of “iSperm” to other cell phones with “Android” or “Windows” technology; the fact that this application is only available for “Ipad” systems, is the “Achilles heel” for those who do not own one; limiting the use of excellent technological strategy designed for medical purposes.
