Can you imagine sites like The Washington Post, CNN, Mashable, Vogue and CBS on Facebook? Well, this is just what Mark Zuckerberg is looking for. Next week, Facebook will launch its newest app that will have its users updated not with all the content of their subscribers, but with information provided by big news agencies and different digital media.

The New York Times was the one responsible for telling the world about Facebook´s latest app: Notify. This new tool was created by the popular social media site that seeks to keep their users informed at all times, much like Instant Articles.

Notify will allow its users to update information to select that which they want to read, choosing from various options. This new app will compete with a recent app launched by Twitter called Moments, which allows its users to also edit and add the content and live events they want to follow.

In his endless search to unite the whole world using social networks, Mark Zuckerberg, founder of Facebook, stated that his company is focused on being innovating and being a profitable long time investment. According to Zuckerberg, they managed to have a good trimester and plan to keep innovating to keep it so.

Facebook currently has over 1550 million users each month, and over 1390 million users access it through their mobile apps. That is the advantage the company has over its competition, no other has this many following.

However, this new app will not only compete with Twitter´s Moments, it will also go head to head with Flipboard, SnapChat, Google Play Kiosco, and others, that allow their subscribers to do practically the same thing.

A curious fact is that Facebook has not been to verbal regarding this new app. With all the information leaking, the only thing we are kind of certain off is that next week, the mega social media will announce its new app. Another thing we are also sure of is that it will be called Notify. I guess we will just have to wait for Facebook to make an official statement, or simply launch the app.
