If we want to enjoy a different trip to a tourist destination full of contrasts: impressive rocky landscapes, beautiful waterfalls and lagoons hot springs; where, in addition, we can delight with the most beautiful natural and spectacular phenomena: aurora borealis or the incredible geysers; and fill us with the hospitality and security of a small island full of adventures; then, we should be visiting Iceland.

This Nordic country of volcanic origin and Viking roots, gives us wonderful tourist destinations within its borders. It has a population of more than 330 thousand inhabitants. Its weather, despite its location in the North Atlantic, is temperate, and does not account with extremely low temperatures, reaching in the coldest days of winter -3 ºC; the particularity of this country is the variable that can be, changing several times in the same day, or a day to another.

The tourist attractions of Iceland are numerous, but each one stands out for its beauty and uniqueness. As in the case of the capital, Reykjavik, a beautiful city with houses of facades and colorful ceilings, which calls the attention of the visitors, in addition to the spectacular and enormous church Hallgrimskirkja, it has a quite particular facade “which is similar to a space rocket”, has a height of 74.5 meters and is located in the center of capital city, in its highest part; so it provides a spectacular view of the city.

One of the essential places to visit in Iceland is the so-called Circle of Gold or Golden Circle, a tourist route that begins and ends in the capital of the country, where can be appreciated the most spectacular natural sites, among them, Is the Park Thingvellir, this is a beautiful natural reserve full of history, since in it was founded the first parliament of the world; added to this, can observed the beautiful volcanic landscapes, in addition to the tectonic faults that have left their mark on the relief.

Another of the natural beauties that make this route is the majestic waterfall Gulfoss, located in the riverbed of the river Hvita. Has two waterfalls, one of 21 meters and another of 11 meters, which makes them one of the visits forced when you come to Iceland.

Finally, in this tourist route are the geysers, located in the Haukadalur valley, considered as the main attractions of this area; here you can appreciate one of the oldest geysers known as the Great Geysir, which ejects a column of steam and boiling water to about 80 meters in height, but its eruptions are not very often; in contrast, a few meters to the south, is located the geyser Strokkur, which throws hot water to 20 meters in height every 5 minutes, becoming the most striking.

Thus, Iceland offers us a different tourist place where we can enjoy the grandeur of nature.
