The horoscope is one of the oldest methods that have been used to predict the future. Being so successful in many respects faith and has won worldwide popularity, becoming part of the everyday lives of people. With no evidence to affirm that such methods are completely true, there is uncertainty as to whether or not believe in these supposed predictions, raising questions as who has created it and in what is it based on to establish which planets influence our lives.

The origin of the horoscope comes from Babylon, ancient city of Mesopotamia. How this practice became popular? The popularization of the horoscope was given by Alexander the Great, a king who ruled Macedonia. Thanks to him, it became known how the planets influence us. These knowledge were practiced in Asia and then taken to other continents. Legend states that the birth of this important figure in history was ruled by the planets. Alexander’s mother should give birth in the date, time and right moment to become an important man, all under the astrological beliefs. Something very strange is that Alexander the Great was a unique person, with great achievements throughout his life, which says that astrology is a very successful practice.

For many years, the planets were already identified as influential gods in predicting the future. The horoscope is based on astrology and the dates of births, making twelve seasons of the year in zodiac signs. The horoscope is responsible for dividing twelve zones of the sky to transform them into ” astrological houses ” and every one of these houses would become an important aspect of the lives of people: personality, economy, everyday life, family, feelings, work, and health, among others. In this way, the horoscope may be able to predict the future based on date of birth.

Following the evolution, they have created different types of horoscope. Some have retained the astrological essence, while others rely on different nature phenomena as the Celtic horoscope, which takes into account forests and different types of trees. Besides this, there is the Mayan, Aztec, Hindu, Egyptian, gypsy and other horoscopes, no doubt, they still have the same goal: predicting the future and our personality.

Definitely, beliefs regarding the horoscope remain an enigma to society, but some have an importance that has transcended time, leading them to choose the one that most closely resembles them. Open our minds it will take us to understand that there is no an absolute truth on earth, and although for many religions there is only one God, we must remain open to possibilities that for some reason there may be more than one.
